[영어] to 부정사/ 이유 설명

말하는 시점보다 먼저 일어난 일을 언급하고 현재의 상태를 나타낼 때 쓰임

 

과거에 일어난 일을 to 부정사로 표현할때 to have p.p 로 표현

 

She was sad to have failed the test.

 

I am honored to have worked with you.

 

It was kind of you to have helped me with the dishes.

 

They were so sad to have said good bye.

 

She felt better to have taken the pill.

 

Hoony was dissapointed not to have won the lottery.

 

I am sorry to have lost your bag.

 

He doesn't seem to have taken a shower.

 

She was upset to have been laughed at by her colleagues.

현재 상황: She was sad. / 이유: Her son has failed the test.

 

아래 처럼 표현 가능

 

She was sad because her son failed the test.

 

because 대신 to have p.p 로 표현 가능

She was sad for her son to have failed the test.
